Richard Wigzell

With over 30 years’ industry experience and 20 years as a Chartered Civil Engineer, Richard has significant expertise in the design and supervision of major highway projects and industrial and residential development infrastructure including planning, Flood Risk Assessments and adoption procedures. As Director of Ingent Consulting Engineers, he has overall responsibility for client projects and enjoys working with all the members of his team.

Out of the office, Richard plays squash, keeps up with his two teenage sons and is the proud owner of a classic Triumph motorbike.

With ten years engineering experience, Matt is managing the infrastructure design for a 1200 unit housing development outside Norwich, for a consortium of three building companies. Trying to find innovative approaches to engineering challenges is one of his favourite tasks.

Out of hours Matt can be found cycling around the lanes of Essex where he lives and spending time with his family.

Coordinating recruitment, HR and health and safety are all in a day’s work for Sarah who has a background in office management for construction companies. In addition to the variety of her role, she really enjoys the camaraderie of being part of a supportive team, with everyone working together for the same end result.

Away from the office, Sarah likes nothing more than being out in the fresh air with the Suffolk Striders Nordic Walking Group.

Adam Shelcot

A specialist on drainage designs and highways, Adam is a member of the Institute of Highways Engineers. With over ten years’ experience as a Civil Engineer, Adam enjoys problem solving whilst liaising with Clients, Contractors and Local Authorities. He also finds obtaining approvals for designs and seeing projects translated into the built environment the most satisfying aspects of his job.

Adam enjoys dining out with his wife and family. Playing and watching football is his principal hobby as well as participating in fishing and golf when time permits.

Having recently joined the company, Edward is enjoying the CAD design work he is doing on infrastructure and drainage projects, learning new things everyday. He also appreciates the friendly working atmosphere and the support he receives from his colleagues.

Ned is a keen gym user, going most days after work and is also in the process of working towards his pilots license.

Starting his career in the construction industry has given Kieran valuable practical experience of dealing with clients and contractors and the skills to visualise drawings in 3D. His role currently involves designing roads and drainage for residential and commercial developments, with projects ranging across the size spectrum. Mainly office-based, Kieran also enjoys getting out on site to see the practical application of his work.

In his spare time, Kieran indulges his passions for snooker, pool and motor racing.

Daniel West

Dan has over 16 years experience and specialises in designing roads and drainage and is a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers. Using his in-depth knowledge of SuDS to produce Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies to meet current legislative requirements. He particularly enjoys the problem-solving aspect of his job, finding creative solutions to challenges.

Away from the office Dan is a keen badminton player and is currently Chairman of the Kesgrave Badminton Club. He also plays seven-aside football.

George is working on foundation and civil design for residential developments and enjoying the challenges they provide – with a range of considerations and constraints to overcome. Mostly office-based, he does like to get out on site from time to time to see theory translated into practice.

In his spare time George enjoys a range of sports including football, rugby and cricket.

Following a work experience placement with the company as a student, Karl returned on a permanent basis following graduation with a first class degree. Karl works with different members of the team to help with their specific projects and gain experience in design. No two days are the same and he is enjoying the variety and learning new skills and knowledge.

Hill walking is Karl’s favourite leisure activity and he includes Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike among his conquests.

A recent BSc(Hons) in civil engineering under his belt, Jake is building new skills in the field of infrastructure engineering on a daily basis. As part of a roads and drainage team Jake is designing schemes to Building Regulations and ground modelling from soils investigation information. In his spare time Jake finds archery hits the spot and “high level” gaming partners his love of the Tractor Boys.

As well as continuing his academic progress Chris is a key member of an infrastructure design team at Brightwell helping to ensure development design schemes hit their targets. When away from Ingent its DJ’ing that rocks Chris’ world and a second career beckons.

As part of a foundation design team he plays a vital role in producing and presenting designs across a wide rang of schemes. Out of work Cameron enjoys keeping fit and a passion for watching and playing cricket knocks him for six.
