The Blakenham Glasshouses

With an eventual footprint under glass of around 14Ha, the Sterling Suffolk Glasshouse project are no ordinary greenhouses.

Initial enabling works included the design of 200,000m3 of earth moving to form the development platforms. With the East Anglian Offshore power cables programmed to run through the site early in the project, establishment of the cable corridor to final levels was a priority and successfully achieved.

As well as the design of significant earthworks, Ingent Consulting Engineers have assisted with the ongoing design of Innovative drainage solutions and have also secured Section 278 approval for the site access and required mitigating highway works.
